The Release Candidate 6 of K2, the WordPress theme that “loves you like a kitten” has been released. It now fully supports WP 2.5. I’ve been using this uber-theme for a while now and I must say it was 99% compatible with WP even before this release, minus a few minor bugs. This release is mainly Steve Lam’s work, as he picked up where Michael Heilleman left off. Can’t wait to upload it to this blog. I need to test it and tweak it a bit before going live with it. Get it while it’s hot!

Venitul pentru prima saptamana de vanzari, estimat la 400 de milioane de dolari, va depasi lansarea Halo 3 de anul trecut. Posesorii de Xbox 360 vor avea si continut descarcabil (DLC) exclusiv pentru care, se pare, Microsoft a platit 50 de milioane de dolari. Avantaj eu! :) Probabil au platit si pentru ca Sony sa nu obtina exclusivitatea. In rest cele doua versiuni sunt aproape identice din punct de vedere tehnic. Versiunea de 360 include si o luna de Xbox Live gratis. (LE: Kotaku compara cele 2 versiuni in video aici.)
Modul singleplayer ofera aproximativ 40 de ore de distractie. Modul multiplayer asigura mult mai multe ore de gameplay prin conectarea simultana a 16 jucatori, pentru o mai eficienta distrugere a valorilor morale din Liberty City :)
Stocurile gameshop.ro, gotgames.ro sunt deja epuizate. Update: GTA IV este in stoc la gameshop.ro, gotgames.ro, bestgames.ro. Mediagalaxy nu il are deocamdata… duh! Pretul pentru varianta X360 este 239,9 lei ceea ce e destul de mult dat fiind ca se vinde cu 60 de dolari in alte parti. Mi-l comand la primul salariu si postez review asap, asa ca stay tuned!

MTV Multiplayer has a story on how Microsoft Game Studios is hiring game engineers, producers, creative director, for a misterious Peter Jackson-helmed Halo project (maybe Halo: Chronicles?). I hope it will be a movie though, not a game. There is alot of lore created by bungie and fans around the Halo Universe. There are five novels, three graphic novels, and a comic series that make a fascinating backstory. If it is a movie it will be epic for sure. However, the Halo movie project has so far been turned down by the big studios in the pre-production phase, although Jackson has tried very hard to push it through his production company. I predict it will be a movie+game uber package and it will be entirely financed by M$. Can’t wait!

A Peter Jackson-helmed Halo project was announced at X06 in Barcelona. Since then, Microsoft Game Studios has been hard at work collaborating with Peter Jackson and Bungie on the development of that project. At this time, it’s necessary to grow the internal team to keep pace with development. Bungie will continue to remain involved in multiple aspects of the Halo Universe with MGS.
A PAL copy of GTA IV was released today by a group called iCON. So if you can’t wait for another week (why?) go ahead and burn it early. You could be banned for good from XBL! I will buy it for sure. After all Rockstar designed a great game so far so they deserve to get paid. Apparently there is some footage of the first missions of the game available online as well.

I just stumbled upon this extremely hilarious video made by some guys in Bucharest. It is done in the Borat style and features a pimped up Dacia 1310 and a soviet LADA GT TURBO 1.3 VX :) plus some very nice girls. I live in Bucharest and I can tell you that there are actually “tuned” Dacias just like the one in the video still roaming the streets, although they are on the way to becoming extinct.
